“Dance of the Willis”

A nostalgic photoshoot inspired by “Giselle” portrays my collection. It expresses Girlhood and our connection with nature and others as women. A romanticization of the mundane and feeling of childhood happiness. Chemises and corsets turn contemporary but still with the same feeling and flow. A contrast of the light and dark feminine, following a bride (Costume for “Giselle”) that represents the beginning of a new chapter and the Widow that represents the darkness of an ending. They are constantly intertwined. There is always a loss to mourn, that follows a bright beginning.
